* portions of northern Indiana and northwest Ohio, including the following areas, in northern Indiana, Adams, Allen IN, Blackford, Cass IN, De Kalb, Fulton IN, Grant, Huntington, Jay, Kosciusko, Marshall, Miami, Noble, Pulaski, Starke, Wabash, Wells, White, and Whitley. In northwest Ohio, Allen OH, Defiance, Henry, Paulding, Putnam, and Van Wert.

* Until noon EDT /11 AM CDT/ today

* Showers and thunderstorms capable of producing heavy rain are expected to develop north of a warm front through morning. These storms may be capable of producing one to one and a half inches of rainfall per hour, with localized higher amounts. This rainfall, occuring over moist soils, may result in flooding of poor drainage areas, and rapid runoff may cause rapid rises on area streams, creeks, and rivers.

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation. You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.

* At 14.0 feet...Secondary roads are blocked. Roads near the east side of Geneva begin to flood. Some evacuations may be required and property needs to be transferred to higher ground.

* Showers and thunderstorms will move across the area this morning. This may lead to a period of heavy rainfall. With the ground already very wet, if heavy rain does occur, this may result in flash flooding.

People in the watch area should keep an eye on the weather and be prepared for immediate action should heavy rains and flooding occur or a Flash Flood Warning be issued. Avoid low-lying areas, and be careful when approaching highway dips and underpasses.
