The National Weather Service in Northern Indiana has issued a

* Flood Warning for... Northeastern Defiance County in northwestern Ohio... Henry County in northwestern Ohio... Southeastern Williams County in northwestern Ohio...

* Until 945 PM EDT.

* At 651 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain approaching the warning area. Doppler radar estimates and spotter reports indicate that between 1 and 3 inches of rain has fallen across much of the warning area since late this afternoon. An additional one inch of rainfall is possible through 830 PM EDT, with locally higher amounts possible. Runoff from the recent heavy rain and additional heavy rainfall will pose a threat of flooding through this evening.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include... Napoleon, Bryan, Stryker, Liberty Center, Mcclure, Pulaski, Texas, Ney, Malinta, Florida, Evansport, Jewell, Grelton, Ridgeville Corners, Gerald, Colton, Okolona and Elery.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.

NWS NorthernIndiana (Northern Indiana and Northeastern Ohio)

...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers... North Branch Elkhart River at Cosperville affecting Noble County .The river remains near minor flood stage at this time. The Flood Warning continues for The North Branch Elkhart River at Cosperville

* until further notice.

* At 9 AM Sunday the stage was 5.9 feet and steady.

* Minor flooding is forecast.

* Flood stage is 6.0 feet.

* Forecast...The river will rise to near flood stage around 2 PM Sunday July 21.

* At 6.0 feet...Water approaches some houses around Skinner Lake, especially along State Road 8. &&

Never drive vehicles through flooded areas. The water may be too deep to allow safe passage. Never allow children to play in or near flood waters.
