* At 10 AM Tuesday the stage was 12.0 feet and rising.

* Minor flooding is forecast.

* Flood stage is 12.0 feet.

* Forecast...The river will rise just above flood stage around 2 PM Tuesday June 18.

* At 12.0 feet...DeKalb County Road 42 about 3 miles northeast of Newville floods. Agricultural and low lands flood along the St. Joseph River to the Cedarville Reservoir. &&

Never drive vehicles through flooded areas. The water may be too deep to allow safe passage. Never allow children to play in or near flood waters. ...FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 2 PM EDT THIS AFTERNOON... The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* Portions of East Central Indiana and Ohio, including the following areas, in East Central Indiana, Fayette IN, Union IN, and Wayne. In Ohio, Auglaize, Champaign, Darke, Delaware, Hardin, Logan, Mercer, Miami, Preble, Shelby, and Union OH.

* Until 2 PM EDT this afternoon

* With the ground already saturated, additional scattered showers and thunderstorms today could result in new instances of flash flooding. Localized rainfall of 1 to 2 inches will be possible in the heaviest and most persistent storm activity. This may result in flash flooding with lighter rainfall amounts than would otherwise be expected.

People in the watch area should keep an eye on the weather and be prepared for immediate action should heavy rains and flooding occur or a Flash Flood Warning be issued. Avoid low-lying areas, and be careful when approaching highway dips and underpasses.

* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.

* Flood stage is 11.0 feet.

* Forecast...The river will rise to a crest near 11.4 feet around 2 PM Tuesday June 18 and fall below flood stage around 8 AM Wednesday June 19.

* At 11.0 feet...Flooding of lowland areas around Stryker can be expected. &&
