Coach Roth and the Blackhawk Braves boys basketball team is currently 24-3 on the year and will get a chance to bring home its fourth semi-state title this weekend.
FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) -- After former Blackhawk Head Coach Marc Davidson turned the Braves in to a perennial postseason powerhouse, new Head Coach Matt Roth is keeping that tradition alive and is starting to see some of his own post-season success.
Coach Roth and the Blackhawk Braves boys basketball team is currently 24-3 on the year and will get a chance to bring home its fourth semi-state title this weekend.
The Braves had a 20-plus win season last year as well but their dreams of securing a state title trophy came a bit short. The team lost by five in overtime in the regional championship to Central Noble, but this year they're just one step closer to getting that blue ring.
Blackhawk will take on (21-5) Gary 21st Century in Logansport in a 2A semi-state semifinal battle at 10 a.m.
