FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) -- Sam Pesa went 2-2 with a home run and two RBIs to help jump start Saint Francis' offense in a 10-3 win over Bethel in the second game of a Crossroads League doubleheader at Cougar Field on Thursday. The Cougars took game one 5-4 over the Pilots.
Jayden Lepper, Xavier Croxton and Nick Parsons all had two RBIs in the second game as well. Blaine McRae pitched six innings, allowing three runs on seven hits with eight strikeouts, picking up the victory.
In game one, Noah Mack came off the bench to go 1-1 with two RBIs to lead the Cougars offensively in the victory. Riley Perlich started the game, going four innings, allowing a run on one hit with three strikeouts, picking up the win. Jose Valdez-Sandoval closed the door, striking out one in an inning and picking up the save.
With the wins, the Cougars improve to 8-14 overall and 3-7 in Crossroads League play. They will host Bethel for a doubleheader Monday, starting at noon.
