last week we told you about the new bottle size at crossroads kombucha.but that's not the only thing that's changed about the company. here's more in this week's locally made monday. the smaller bottle size was a very visible change at crossroads kombucha.another change maybe not so visible. tom brookshire with crossroads says they've been working on the science inside of the bottle."we're one of very few kombucha companies that can claim that. now we're not shelf stable and i don't know if we can ever get there, we're trying, but we're definitely shipping stable which opens up a whole new range of opportunities for us including some opportunities we have out in colorado."not only colorado, but some expanded opportunities have opened up right here in the midwest."recently a new opportunity came about to distribute our product to campuses and universities and colleges. this includes two new states. so this includes also michigan and ohio, and along with the ohio we have a new distribution point there as well, a chain of restaurants that does an acai bowl."as the crossroads expands, it helps the company not only get their name out, but fort wayne's as well."it's kind of exciting. i just stumbled across an article i'd found and it was talking about brewers of kombucha, and it wasn't an article written locally and it had mentioned crossroads in fort wayne, indiana so i thought that was kind of neat. here we are approaching it a little bit differently than most kombucha companies and we really want to put indiana on the map."
