hey good evening everyone.. well for many around the country, tonight marks the beginning of another n-f-l season.. but for those of us in northeast indiana, this first thursday in september signals the return of college football in this part of the state.. áááit's the annual meeting between manchester and trine.. season opener for both teams taking place down at carl burt memorial field tonight...áááand it's the thunder climbing on top early... blocked punt gives 'em great field position, and it pays off.. dylan dowling dives in for the score.. trine takes a 7-0 lead in the first quarter..áááand they were just getting started... later in the first half.. they give it dowling again down by the goal line... and 16 puts six more on the board for the thunder... make it 14-0 in favor of troy abbs' team.. ááávery next drive for the thunder... they air it out this time.. brandon winters finds seth boggs behind the defense... another trine touchdown... thunder would take a 24-0 lead into halftime..ááábut the spartans make some adjustments, and they come out swingin' in the second half.. austin roberts.. little throwback toss to a wide open cameron canniff.. manchester is on the board... áááthe spartans would make this thing interesting... but it's trine that holds on to win their season opener, 38- 21the final.. trine is at bluffton
