the boys are back at bishop d'arcy...early this morning, saint francis hitting the field for its first practice of the 2019 season...no pads yet, but a lot of positive vibes as the cougars start their journey towards what they hope is a third national title in the last four years... lot of work to do to get there though..u-s-f will have some big holes to fill on defense after the departures of all-americans willie cole, eric dunten and piercen harnish..but on the offensive side, a ton of talent returns, and that includes the quarterback...matt crable is back for his second season as the cougars' signal-caller... and there is no shortage of weapons surrounding him...usf returns its top six receivers, and its leading rusher, from last season...oh, and the cougs also bring back four starters on the offensive line...and with crable leading the way, this unit has the potential to be potent... crable and the cougs will open their season against saint francis of illinois on september 7th...
