Justin Prince joined the FOX 55 Sports team in April 2017 as their Sports Director.
A native of Elkhorn, Wisconsin, Justin graduated from Elkhorn Area High School and then attended the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point, earning his Bachelor's Degree in Communication with a Media Studies emphasis, while also competing on the University's football team all four years.
Justin's love for sports runs deep. He grew up playing just about anything he could, including football, baseball, basketball, soccer and golf. That love continued to grow as he did, with him eventually focusing on football, basketball and baseball in high school and continuing his football career to college. In his four years at UWSP, Justin started 20 games on the offensive line for the Pointers, including one against Fort Wayne's own University of St. Francis.
It was this passion for sports that led Justin to turn to broadcasting. During college he was a part of his University's student-run TV Station, SPTV Channel 98, and also completed two internships at WISN in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and WAOW in Wausau, Wisconsin.
After college, Justin accepted a position as a News/Sports Reporter with Lakeland Public TV in their bureau office in Brainerd, Minnesota. After nearly 10 months on the job, he took over as the station's Sports Director, moving to Bemidji, Minnesota, where he remained until coming to Fort Wayne. During his time in Minnesota his love for sports grew more than he thought possible, becoming a big hockey fan (he cheers for the Minnesota Wild), and learning to appreciate sports on a whole other level.
In his free time Justin enjoys being active - you'll catch him on the golf course regularly, and he also enjoys playing softball. He also enjoys working out, as well as camping, hiking, fishing, and hunting.
Justin is extremely excited to be joining us and showing the area sports teams’ highlights and tell their stories. If you have a story idea, please reach out to him by email at firstname.lastname@example.org, find him on Twitter at @JPrinceWFFT, or search for him on Facebook at Justin Prince WFFT.
