Fort Wayne, Ind. (WFFT) - The unranked Saint Francis men's basketball team toppled top-ranked Indiana Wesleyan 85-71 at the Hutzell Center Tuesday night in a rematch of the 2018 National Title game.
The game was back-and-forth for much of the first half, but USF grabbed a nine point lead with around five minutes to go, and never looked back.
Austin Compton poured in a team high 23 points, and added five assists as well. Connor Lautzenheiser added 16 points in the win.
Warsaw grad Kyle Mangas led the Wildcats with a team high 15 points.
The win moved Saint Francis to 7-5 overall and 2-2 in Crossroads League play. Indiana Wesleyan drops to 11-2 overall, and 3-1 in conference play.
