The Saint Francis softball team split a double header with tenth-ranked Indiana Wesleyan on Thursday, winning game one, 3-2, while falling in game two, 4-1.
Brooke Herron picked up the win for the Cougars in game one, pitching all seven innings, while allowing just two runs (one earned), on four hits, while striking out three and walking one. Herron improved to 5-1 on the season. Lizzie Meyer played hero for USF, going 1-2 at the plate with a walk and the go ahead RBI in the fifth inning.
With the split, USF moves to 10-9 on the year.
