USF, SXU Battle to 1-1 Draw at Bishop D'Arcy

The Saint Francis and Saint Xavier women's soccer teams battled to a 1-1, double overtime draw at Bishop D'Arcy Stadium on the campus of USF Wednesday afternoon.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) - The Saint Francis and Saint Xavier women's soccer teams battled to a 1-1, double overtime draw at Bishop D'Arcy Stadium on the campus of USF Wednesday afternoon.

There was no scoring till the second half, when Brey Baltazar got a breakaway and netted her first goal of the season in the 63rd minute to give the home Cougars a 1-0 lead.

Saint X answered in the 72nd minute off a Kimberly Marquez free kick from just outside the box to tie things at one.

Neither team was able to net a goal in either overtime period, and this one finished in a 1-1 draw.

USF moves to 0-2-2 on the season.
