FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) - The TinCaps offense started slow, but they came on to the scene late in a 5-1 victory over the Dayton Dragons on Wednesday night.
Omar Cruz spun a gem, throwing five and a third innings of one run baseball with six strikeouts to earn the victory.

Making his first start in the field, Padres number five prospect, C.J. Abrams finished the game 2-for-4 with a walk, a stolen base and a run scored. Michael Curry went 3-for-4 with two runs and a run batted in in the contest as well. Tucupita Marcano, Ethan Skender, and Tyler Benson picked up RBI's to go along with Curry.
The TinCaps will take on the Dragons for the second of three games Thursday night at Parkview Field at 7:05 p.m.
