FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) - There will be no fans present at any Summit Athletic Conference sporting event until at least Sept. 1.
On Thursday, the SAC announced a three-step return-to-play plan regarding fan attendance:
It states that only "essential personnel" will be allowed to attend soccer, cheerleading, cross country, football, tennis, unified flag football and volleyball events from now until the end of August.
Beginning on Sept. 1, schools hope to have crowds in a limited capacity, but that is "assuming large group gatherings are allowed" by that point.
This includes Fort Wayne Community Schools, Northwest Allen County Schools, Southwest Allen County Schools, Bishop Dwenger, Bishop Luers and Concordia Lutheran.
