FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) - Ben Boudreau couldn't have asked for a better start in his first game as bench boss for the Fort Wayne Komets.

The K's scored just 18 seconds into the new season on their way to a 5-2 win over Kalamazoo on Saturday night. Fort Wayne got goals from Matthew Boudens, Mason Bergh, Alan Lyszczarczyk and Brycen Martin to go along with 41 saves from Los Angeles Kings asignee Cole Kehler.

The Komets will host Wheeling and Toledo next weekend.
