FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) - Shawn Szydlowski and a number of other Komets' players have started a "We want to play" campaign after the K's season was delayed to January 2021.
His message is advocating for local health officials to allow enough fans in to the Memorial Coliseum so the Komets can play as soon as possible.

The team hasn't played a game since March 11, and Szydlowski said the players are starting to feel the financial strain because of that.
The K's have until Nov. 30 to decide if they will play in the upcoming season, which would begin Jan. 15.
But Szydlowski says that the indecision could hurt players who may need to find other means of making money if there is no season.
Either way, Szydlowski and the K's hope there is a season, but they only want one if it's safe for the players and the fans.
However, he does believe there is a way it can be done.
