FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) - Despite scoring four goals, the Fort Wayne Komets dropped their eighth straight game, an 8-4 decision, to rival Toledo on New Year's Eve.
The Walleye led 3-1 after a period of play, and kept on scoring, extending their advantage to 5-3 after two periods.

The K's got two goals from Gage Torrel, his first two as a Komet, as well as goals from Shawn Szydlowski and Shaquille Merasty in the loss.
The Komets will travel to Indy to take on the Fuel on Jan. 3 before returning home to face the Wings on Jan. 4.
