FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) - Carroll, Snider, New Haven, Homestead, Bishop Dwenger and Garrett all picked up victories in sectional quarterfinal action on Thursday night.

Carroll beat East Noble 3-0 (25-11, 25-6, 25-11) behind nine kills from Hadley Powers and Gabby Fish. Kaley Matney added eight kills in the win.

The Chargers advance to face North Side in the sectional semifinals.

Snider withstood 16 kills from Madison Brooks to top Northrop 3-1 (25-20, 14-25, 25-15, 25-23).

The Panthers will play DeKalb in the sectional semifinals on Saturday.

New Haven edged Huntington North in five sets 3-2 (25-21, 23-25, 25-14, 25-27, 15-8).

The Bulldogs will face Wayne in the sectional semifinals on Saturday.

Homestead swept Columbia City 3-0 (25-14, 25-20, 25-17) behind nine kills from Anna Moster. 

The Spartans advance to face South Side in the Sectional 6 semifinals on Saturday.

Notre Dame commit Eva Hudson's 16 kills helped lead Bishop Dwenger to a 3-0 (25-13, 25-20, 25-8) sweep over Woodlan.

The Saints will face Garrett in the sectional semifinals, after the Railroaders swept Bishop Luers (25-18, 25-21, 25-21) behind Jacksonville State commit Logan Smith's triple-double, 14 kills, 14 assists, and 16 digs.

Morgan Ostrowski also added 14 kills to match Smith's match-high.
