BLUFFTON, Ind. (WFFT) - The Bluffton Tigers are coming off one of the best seasons they've had in a long time, but it didn't end the way they had hoped.
After going 7-2 in the regular season, Brent Kunkel's boys were bounced in the first round of sectionals by Fairfield.
They're hoping they can make a little more noise in the postseason this time around, and they've got the talent to do it.
The Tigers return a good amount of experience on both sides of the ball, including senior quarterback Hayden Nern, who threw for 1,600 yards and 13 touchdowns last year.
Bluffton will host Northfield in their season opener on Aug. 21.
