FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) - The Bruins are hoping for a breakthrough this season.

After finishing with a 2-8 record in five consecutive seasons, Northrop finally snapped that streak last year. Jason Doerffler and company finally found that elusive third win, but they're still searching for their first winning season since 2003. Doerffler says he has a class of 32 seniors that has won at every level they've played at, and he expects that to continue under the Friday night lights.

The Bruins will open their season by hosting Homestead on the new turf at Spuller Stadium.
