FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) - TinCaps manager Anthony Contreras says he hopes to be back in Fort Wayne for the 2021 season.
The 2020 campaign would have been Contreras' fifth as Fort Wayne's bench boss, but the COVID-19 pandemic caused the season to be canceled.
Instead of managing games like he normally would be at this time of year, Contreras has spent the last several months working with individual prospects at the San Diego Padres' facility in Arizona.
The 36-year-old is already the longest-tenured manager in TinCaps history, and he holds the franchise record for wins with 256.
