FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) - The Ben Boudreau era of Komets hockey is set to begin Saturday when the K's host the Kalamazoo Wings to open their 2019-20 campaign.
Boudreau tells FOX 55 he expects there to be some butterflies when he takes the ice for the first time, however he is confident he is ready for the challenge.
He also tells FOX 55 that for the first time in the history of the franchise, no player will wear the captain "C" when the team takes the ice this weekend. He wants a player to earn that right, and not just be given the title after a week of training camp.
The team has been together for a total of 10 days as of Wednesday, but even with only four players returning from a year ago, the coaching staff remains confident in this group.
