PORTLAND, Ore. (WFFT) - Former Homestead and Purdue big man Caleb Swanigan will not rejoin the Portland Trail Blazers when the NBA resumes its 2019-20 season in Orlando, Florida next month.
The Trail Blazers president of basketball operations and general manager Neil Olshey said Swanigan will not join Portland when the NBA restarts.
He has decided to withdraw his name from the NBA’s return to play, citing personal reasons.
Swanigan was traded to the Trail Blazers in February, marking his second stint with the team that drafted him.
The 22-year-old was averaging a career-best 3 points, 3 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 20 games with one start for Portland.
