WOODBURN, Ind. (WFFT) - Woodlan will have a new look this fall, as head coach Mike Smith is set to make his debut when the Warriors take the field in a couple weeks.
Smith takes over for Sherwood Haydock, who led Woodlan to 62 wins, two regional titles and a state championship game appearance during his nine-year run in Woodburn.

The Warriors have struggled recently, going a combined 7-13 over Haydock's final two seasons at the helm.
But Smith, who has made previous stops at Angola, East Noble and Prairie Heights, says he likes the group that he has to work with going into his first year.
The Warriors will open their season with a trip to Leo on Aug. 21.
