FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) - The Homestead Spartans kick off our coverage of the SAC in our 2020 FOX 55 Countdown to Kickoff.
The Spartans are coming off a stellar season in 2019, capturing their first-ever SAC title and their first sectional crown since 2016.
Chad Zolman's offense will look a little different this year, with Luke Goode, Jake Archbold, Griffin Little and Cam Rogers all leaving the team.
The four of them accounted for 55 total touchdowns and nearly 4,900 yards of offense.
They Spartans do return top rushing threat Braeden Hardwick and top receiver Jared Kistler to this year's team, and believe they have a squad ready to contend once again.
Homestead will open with Northrop in our first Locker Room Game of the Week for the 2020 season on Aug. 21.
