As of Oct. 10, the CDC reported there were 26 vaping-related deaths in 21 states.

The Indiana State Department of Health just released confirmation of two new vaping-related deaths.

That makes three Hoosiers who have died of severe lung injuries linked to a history of e-cigarette use.

According to the CDC, there have been twenty-six deaths and over one thousand lung injuries related to vaping so far.

Patients have complained of difficulty breathing, shortness of breath and chest pain.

News 18 reached out to the Indiana State Department for response and they said "While most individuals have reported vaping THC, the ingredient found in marijuana, some individuals have reported vaping only nicotine. ISDH continues to work with local and federal partners to gather information and learn more about potential causes of these lung injuries," said Indiana State Department of Health.
