Car crosses center line, hits FWCS school bus

The bus was traveling north on Hillegas near Bass Road when a car crossed the center line and hit the back tire of the bus.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) - No serious injuries were reported after a car crossed the center line and hit a FWCS school bus full of students. 

It happened around 2:30 p.m. on Hillegas Road. The bus was traveling north on Hillegas near Bass Road when a car crossed the center line and hit the back tire of the bus. 

The bus had come from Portage Middle School and had not dropped any students off yet. 

FWCS spokesperson Krista Stockman was at the crash and said a few students were looked at by EMS, but no one was seriously hurt. 

The school is in the process of contacting parents. 

It's unclear what caused the car to hit the bus.
