FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) -- The music resounds throughout the gym at North Side High School on Saturday afternoon.

Moms and their children decked out in colorful workout clothes, twisted their hips and moved their feet to the beat of the 1980s jams.

Local Study Connection's annual "Zumbathon" took over the By Hey Arena from 1-3 p.m. to raise money for its weekly tutoring services.

Coordinator and Zumba instructor, Sarah Hudson, says, “this is an event for everyone.”

Local sponsors helped produce gift baskets for each raffle winner chosen throughout the event.

The participants were all smiles while mimicking the moves of local Zumba instructors on the stage.

One song at a time, the families, including dads, danced the Saturday afternoon away.
