FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT)- Fort Wayne residents should expect some changes to the New Years Eve plans this year.

The ball drop and fireworks will still go on, but due to below zero temperatures and safety concerns, the live entertainment and food trucks have been canceled.

To adjust, the three parking lots in front of Parkview Field will be opened to the general public. You're encouraged to arrive by 10:30 p.m. Sunday for the ball drop.

Plans will also be the same for those who have purchased Official Indoor Gala tickets. For more more weather information, and a map of the area, visit the FW Ball Drop website here.
