Brief, heavy downpours could cause ponding on the roadways so take your time heading to your destination.
The south-southwest wind will remain strong and gusty through Thursday afternoon.
Expect sustained wind speeds of 15 to 25 miles per hour with wind gusts up to 40 miles per hour.
Shower and thunderstorm chances will continue into Thursday afternoon as the cold front slides through the region.
The boundary should be south-southeast of the area by the early evening hours and partial clearing will take place..
With that being said, the precipitation will be done at that point and the gusty wind will finally decrease.
Temperatures will fall into the middle 30s Thursday night and highs will only top out in the middle 50s by Friday afternoon.
