FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) - Lingering snow and rain showers are possible for the Monday morning commute. Watch out for slick spots on the roads, especially on secondary/lesser traveled roads as new icy patches could develop as temperatures drop below freezing on the backside of the system. Snow totals will range from less than an inch in Fort Wayne and places south to possibly 3 inches near the Indiana/Michigan border on Monday morning.
We'll start to dry up after noon, but the clouds will remain. Highs will be in the mid 30s. That's about average for this time of year. The mostly cloudy skies stick around Monday night. Lows will be right around 30 degrees.
Partly sunny skies return to the area on Tuesday. Temperatures continue to warm up to the upper 30s. This will melt some more of the snow-pack we've accumulated over the past few weeks.
It will be a perfect day to go get a car wash, since temperatures will be above freezing. We'll keep the partly cloudy skies Tuesday night as temperatures fall back to right around 30 degrees.
We'll thaw out some more on Wednesday as temperatures approach 40 degrees.
