FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) — Temperatures will continue to cool Tuesday afternoon which will transition the rain/snow mix to snow.
Snow chances continue overnight and it should all end by 3 a.m.
Snowfall accumulations of 2 to 4 inches can be expected for most of the area.
Locations along and north of US 6 could see up to 2 inches.
Lows Tuesday night will fall into the 20s which prompted a freeze warning.
Protect any sensitive plants.
Slick spots will be possible Wednesday morning but there shouldn’t be any issues later in the day.
Temperatures will warm into the lower 40s by Wednesday afternoon so a lot of the snow will melt away.
A few snowflakes could mix in with rain Wednesday afternoon but it’s nothing to be concerned about.
The precipitation will end Wednesday evening and another hard freeze is expected Wednesday night with lows in the 20s.
Thursday afternoon highs will warm near 50 degrees.
