Wabash woman dead in Peru motorcycle crash

Police said Eric Kuhn, 34, of Warsaw was westbound on U.S. 24 near Miami County Road 300 east. The back tire of the bike blew, causing the motorcycle to roll, and ejecting Taylour Sparks, 25, of Wabash.

PERU, Ind. (WFFT)- Indiana State Police are investigating a motorcycle crash that left a woman dead and sent a man to the hospital. 

It happened around 8:45 a.m. Saturday. Police said Eric Kuhn, 34, of Warsaw was westbound on U.S. 24 near Miami County Road 300 east. The back tire of the bike blew, causing the motorcycle to roll, and ejecting Taylour Sparks, 25, of Wabash.

Sparks was pronounced dead at the scene. Kuhn was airlifted to a Fort Wayne hospital. Neither of them were wearing helmets. 

Police do not suspect alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash.
