FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) - It’s been a long snowy and windy winter in Fort Wayne, which has resulted in trash and debris littering the roadways, ditches, neighborhoods and along the riverbanks.
Voluteers are cleaning up the city to get ready for outdoor spring activities.
The annual Great American Cleanup™ is the nation’s largest community improvement program.
More than 50 businesses donated funds and supplies to the event.
Some major things collected include 75 tons of debris, 600 tires, and 165 televisions.
