VAN WERT, Ohio (WFFT) - Students in Van Wert can now anonymously report violence and other school safety concerns.
Van Wert City Schools is partnering with Safe School Helpline to provide a 24/7 hotline and text line.
The messages are screened and sent to the appropriate administrators.
Those administrators will investigate and decide what action needs to be taken.
Last year, Van Wert City Schools closed and a student was arrested after a threat was made against the school.
You can report threats or harassment by calling 1-800-418-6423, ext. 359 or text "TIPS" to 66746.
