VAN WERT, Ohio (WFFT) — The Van Wert Fairgrounds have been busy all week and there’s still more time to catch the action.
The Van Wert County Fair is wrapping up its second and final weekend heading into Labor Day.
This week of entertainment features rides, games and food vendors, as well as several local attractions to highlight part of Northwest Ohio culture.
Cars, motor bikes and multiple animal shows highlighted this past weekend.
But Fair Board President Kathy McCollow says the best part has been all the people in attendance.
“We’ve had a lot of people come through the gates, so that helps us financially as well as just being able to spend the time seeing people, see what all of our vendors have. That means a lot to the ride company that didn’t get out last year and a lot of the food vendors that maybe did a few things, but nothing like a fair,” McCollow said.
The Fair plans to celebrate its last full day Monday, with some activities continuing through Tuesday.
Visitors can watch harness racing at noon and a demolition derby later in the night.
