DELPHOS, Ohio (WFFT) — Authorities in Van Wert County served a search warrant regarding illegal activity happening at a house over the weekend ending with the shutdown of a large party and drugs and weapons being seized.
Van Wert County Sheriff Thomas Riggenbach announced that on Saturday, Aug. 15 deputies served a search warrant at 22384 Carpenter Rd. in Delphos.
Sheriff Riggenbach said the search warrant was from an investigation into alleged underage drinking and drug activity thas took place at the property.
He says his office "received numerous complaints about illegal activity taking place at this property."
At the time the search warrant was executed, deputies said a large party of roughly 150-200 people and multiple vehicles were on the property with alcohol and drugs being used.
Deputies said more than 90 people, who were underage, were under the influence of alcohol. Several of them were minors.
Those who were identified to be over the age of 21 at the party were released.
Investigators seized the following during the search of the property:
1. A moderate amount of suspected Marijuana
2. Suspected LSD/Acid
3. Suspected dabs
4. Suspected Shrooms
5. THC vapes & cartridges
6. Edible THC products
7. Suspected drug proceeds
8. Nicotine vapes & pods
9. Two handguns with loaded magazines
Riggenbach also advised additional people may be charged during the investigation.
He said a nuisance abatement letter will be sent to the homeowner to let him know what occurred on this property.
Of illegal activity continues on the property, authorities could seize it.
Riggenbach said the investigation is ongoing and all charges will be sent to the law director for review.
