OHIO CITY, Ohio (WFFT) — Police say a collision between a car and an ATV left several people injured early Sunday afternoon in Van Wert County.
At 12:05 p.m. troopers from the Ohio State Highway Patrol were called to a serious injury crash at the intersection of State Route 118 and Wren Landeck Road in Van Wert County.
Investigators say a Polaris Ranger side-by-side ATV, operated by 46-year-old, Gordon Keith of Plainville, Indiana was going westbound on Wren Landeck Road and pulled in front of a Toyota Prius going south, being driven by 77-year-old Karen Feasby of Convoy.
Keith had two passengers in the ATV at the time of the crash and his front-seat passenger was ejected from the ATV and flown to a Fort Wayne hospital in critical condition.
Keith and his back seat passenger were transported to Van Wert Health in serious condition.
Feasby and her two passengers were treated at the scene for minor injuries, according to OSHP.
Troopers say no one inside the ATV was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
State Route 118 was closed for almost one and a half hours.
