USF opens new outdoor learning place

The university cut the ribbon on the new Star Observation Deck Wednesday afternoon. It's a new multi-use space at the the university's addition to its science building.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) - The University of Saint Francis is celebrating a new outdoor learning place.

The university cut the ribbon on the new Star Observation Deck Wednesday afternoon. It's a new multi-use space at the the university's addition to its science building. The old portion is under renovations now.

USF president Sister Elise Kriss says she thinks the students will get a lot of use of the space.

The University of Saint Francis partnered with Star Bank for the observation deck. The bank also presented $120,000 to the university.
