FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT)- Two men are in critical condition and another is behind bars after a shooting at a bar south of downtown.
They have been identified as 45-year -old Christopher M. Pogue and 35- year-old Jacob R. Jeffrey.
Police were called around 1:35 a.m. to the Rock Tavern in the 1900 block of Broadway. Officers were told two men had been shot.
When they got to the scene, officers found one victim in the parking lot of the gas station across the street. They found the other victim in an alley behind the bar.
Both men were initially taken to the hospital in serious condition, but were downgraded to critical.
Police arrested 29-year-old Aaron Suggs in a nearby parking lot after witnesses gave a description. An investigation found Suggs fired several gunshots near the back door of the bar after some sort of disturbance.
The relationship between Suggs and the victims is not known at this time.
Suggs is currently facing two counts of aggravated battery.
Investigators are interviewing witnesses and reviewing surveillance video from the bar and surrounding businesses.
