FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) — Tropical Storm Arthur has formed which makes it the first named tropical storm of the 2020 season.
It is the 6th consecutive year with a named storm before the official start of hurricane season on June 1.
Tropical Storm Arthur is near the southeast coast, north of the Bahamas.
A tropical storm watch has been issued for parts of the North Carolina coast.
According to the National Hurricane Center, Arthur will create dangerous coastal surf conditions and rip currents from Florida to the
Mid-Atlantic states over the next few days.
