Three Rivers Festival chooses parade theme for 2019

This year the parade will celebrate the "Summer of 69."

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) - Three Rivers Festival announces the 2019 parade theme.

This year the parade will celebrate the "Summer of 69." 1969 was the year when the first humans walked on the moon as well as the first year of the Three Rivers Festival.

Each July more than 50,000 people line the streets of downtown Fort Wayne to witness the floats, bands, and celebrate the kickoff for the Three Rivers Festival.

This year the parade is on Saturday, July 13th at 10:00 a.m.
