FREMONT, Ind. (WFFT) — All lanes of I-69 near Fremont are open again after a HAZMAT spill Tuesday morning.
Authorities say a tanker spilled nitric acid near the 365 mile-marker just south of the Michigan State Line around 7 a.m.
Emergency crews are using Lyme to clean it up.
The northbound lanes reopened about 1:15 p.m. and the southbound lanes reopened just before 2 p.m.
The Indiana State Highway Patrol says the only remaining closure is the southbound I-69 ramp for Baker Road.
