FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) — Fort Wayne police have made an arrest in the fatal double stabbings that took place Tuesday night at The Coliseum Inn.
One man was pronounced dead at the scene and the other who was transported to a local hospital where he underwent surgery for his injuries also died.
Police were called to a battery that just occurred at the Coliseum Inn, but later found it was a stabbing.
FWPD arrested 30-year-old Pedro Salas Lopez, who was found at The Rescue Mission, in connection to the stabbings.
Lopez was booked on preliminary charges of two counts of aggravated battery and two counts of battery with a deadly weapon.
The identity of the victims will be released by the Allen County Coroner’s Office at a later date.
