FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT)- The Fort Wayne Commission for the Social Status of African American Males and Sweetwater put together a free, all ages event to promote fatherhood recognition and engagement.
This years performers were The Ohio Players and The Gap Experience.
"Now we live in a time where neighbors don't even talk to each other. What is the best way to do it? Families get together and they all have food and music,"chairperson Andre Patterson said.
It's the 2nd year they've given a concert.
It's their 6th year giving backpacks to the kids.
