FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) - Forty-eight students who completed their education at FWCS Career Academy at Anthis signed letters of intent with employers Wednesday.

The event is part of Career Technical Education Awareness Month in Northeast Indiana, which was designated by Northeast Indiana Works and The Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership.

Janae Hargarett will be putting her new cosmetology license to use at a beauty salon.

"I started cosmetology school my junior year, and I'm just now finishing, so I'm going to work full time at Optimistic's Enterprise," Career Academy student Janae Hargarett said.

Similar events have been or are being held throughout the region in May.
