HUNTERTOWN, Ind. (WFFT) - Soarin Hawk Raptor Rehabilitation Center is getting ready for a new facility.

The nonprofit broke ground on a new center in Huntertown Thursday afternoon. The new facility will help the group bring two operations to one place.

There will be a medical unit for injured birds and pens for those recovering and permanent educational birds.

The organization says the new space will make helping birds much easier. The new location is expected to open in October.
