Six hospitalized after Thursday morning house fire

Two adults and four kids were taken to the hospital Thursday morning after a fire broke out at their house.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT)- Two adults and four kids were taken to the hospital Thursday morning after a fire broke out at their house. 

Crews responded just before 2:15 a.m. to 1707 Fairhill Road on report of a house fire. 

When they got there, they found heavy smoke and flames coming from a second floor window. 

A family of six had already evacuated. They were all taken to a local hospital to be treated for minor injuries. 

The fire was contained to an upstairs bedroom and under control just before 2:30 a.m. 

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
