FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) — A shooting on the southeast side of Fort Wayne has left a woman dead and a man seriously injured early Saturday morning.
Just after 12:30 a.m. Saturday, officers with the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to the intersection of Paulding Road and Winter Street reference subjects being armed with guns.

Officers said when they arrived in the area they located a man who appeared to be shot in the Cap-N-Cork parking lot at the intersection of South Anthony Blvd. and East Paulding Road.
FWPD says as additional officers were arriving in the area, they were flagged down in the 1600 block of East Paulding Road.
From there, officers say they were directed to a house where they found another victim they say was suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
The woman inside the home was pronounced dead at the scene by medics, according to police.
Paramedics transported the male who was found shot in the Cap-N-Cork parking lot to a local hospital in serious condition.
Detectives say they are interviewing witnesses and Crime Scene Investigators are processing both scenes.
Investigators say they hope to obtain additional details once they are able to interview the man who was hospitalized.
The Allen County Coroner’s Office will release the victim's identity along with the cause and manner of death at a later date.
