AUBURN, Ind. (WFFT) — Deputies say a semi tractor-trailer crash caused traffic delays after a portion of the highway closed down on Tuesday night.
On Tuesday at about 8:15 p.m. deputies with the DeKalb County Sheriff's Department responded to Interstate 69 southbound near the 329 mile mark regarding a semi crash.
Deputies say the driver, identified as 65-year-old Gregory Richards of Waterford, Ohio, lost control of his semi and went off the road into the median causing the vehicle to roll onto its side.
Investigators say Richards had minor cuts to his face due to the crash but refused medical attention.
A dog that was inside the semi with Richards was reportedly not injured.
Deputies say that area of I-69 south was closed for a few hours while crew cleaned up the scene.
